For nearly two decades, Skav has been a pillar of Dutch underground hip-hop, his name synonymous with razor-sharp lyricism, intricate flows, and an unwavering dedication to the craft. Emerging in 2006 as one-third of Utrecht’s legendary trio Stropstrikkers, he quickly cemented himself as an emcee with a deep-rooted connection to hip-hop’s golden era—his bars carrying the same weight, wit, and wordplay as the finest 90s New York lyricists.
But Skav is no relic of the past. He remains one of the most prolific voices in Dutch hip-hop, sometimes releasing multiple projects a year while spearheading RAFTING GOODS, a collective uniting underground heavyweights across the Netherlands. The crew evolved out of Krauw Konnekt, a group with a similar lineup, reinforcing Skav’s ability to build lasting movements within the scene. Whether on solo projects, collaborations, or shaping the next generation, his pen stays sharp, his delivery precise, and his impact undeniable.
At Shoulder 2 Shoulder Radio, where hip-hop’s DNA meets house music’s pulse, Skav embodies the movement—bridging generations, weaving stories, and proving that the underground is very much alive.
